End of game/series
Some final thoughts on this game.
-Franzen is unbelievable right now.
-So is Ozzie
-So is [insert Red Wings Player name here]
-I'm still not a fan of the Vs commentators. I counted many times that they mispronounced names, their 3rd period ramble KILLED me, and the end interview with Franzen... squid????? Um, it's an octopus dude...
Well, we're into the Western Conference Finals again and we're rolling on all cylinders. I can't wait for the next series!

9:30ish 3rd
Ok, so here is what has happened so far. Samuelsson scored again. 8-1 Detroit. The refs are also feeling sorry for the Avs. Lilja was called for a high-sticking penalty that never made contact above the Avs forward waist. Horrible call. THEN Drake was called on a delay of game for being hit into the Detroit net... the Avs followed this up with a PP goal that Ozzie actually got a piece of through a screen. 8-2 Wings.

I HOPE that I'm not speaking too soon, but it looks as if the Avs are not going to head hunt this game. I hope. I really don't like that the Wings are still pressuring. I understand why they are, but 7-1 is embarassing, and... I can't believe I'm saying this... I want the Wings to save face for the Avs. There's no shame in that.

Hear that? That's right, the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado... home of the Colorado Avalanche, is chanting "Ozzie, Ozzie!" for the outstanding play of Wings goalie Chris Osgood. I earlier posted a comment on how I thought the Avs fans were class-less... I still believe that! ;) If it hadn't been for the hundreds of Colorado fans filing out of their seats and the fact that probably 25% of the arena are Red Wings fan, I may have changed my mind.

I've decided that the Avs woes have not been the fault of Theodore. Jose, I'm sorry I've blamed you the entire series. The Avs lost the first 3 and probably this one also, because of the shotty coaching of J. Quenneville.
Quick sidebar, Franzen has ANOTHER hat-trick! The Mule, along with the Twins, are single handedly killing the Avs. That's 9 goals.
So back to Quenneville, it is his fault. Theodore should not have played if he was not feeling well. Not just in game 1, but definitely game 2. He should have done what Babcock did as soon as Hasek fell apart in game 4. Give the goalie the benefit of the doubt for the first one, but certainly not the second one. You need a new coach, Colorado.

Hank scores again! I am really starting to feel sorry for the Avs. This is a schlaking. 5-1 Detroit and there wasn't 1 Avs player whose head wasn't looking down at their feet, on the ice and on the bench.

One announcer spoke to Cheli when he left and asked if he was OK. Cheli was said to have "annoyingly" shook his head yes. Resting the old man!

Again, I am right! Quenville FINALLY pulled Theodore and played Budaj. In all honesty I wish they didn't, but I am impressing myself with my hockey savvy. Two quick PP's for Detroit is advantageous for them because it doesn't allow the Avs to come out and pressure.

I thought that they would need to steal the period late and take the crowd out of the game, but after seeing that goal I see that the Pepsi Center is FULL OF DETROIT FANS!!! Way to go guys and gals. Oh, HANZEN-FRANZEN just scored! Yay! 3-1 Detroit LATE in the 1st. 37 seconds left in period. The MULE does it again! 7 goals in this series... if he can keep this up, Conn Smythe anyone?

Datsyuk is amazing. What a move he just put on that Avs D! This game is evenly matched and the refs are letting them play. Wings need to get out of this period tied or up. The Avs motivation and will is high right now.

You can definately tell that the Avs are in this. They are taking the game to Detroit and with the exception of the one goal, Ozzie has done his job. The commentators are taling about how the Wings have 4 players eligable for NHL hardware (trophies). I do think that they could all win. WOW! What a save Ozzie made! Wings need to get their head out of their ass....

Ok, so I've decided to make my first blog a live look at the Detroit Red Wings and Colorado Avalanche game 3. Here's my thoughts so far.
-Wings Score! Sammuelsson scored a HORRIBLE goal on Jose Theodore. Jose keeps proving my point that it isn't the injuries to Colorado that is killing them, it's Theodore. Not that I am complaining, but I am sick of people, especially Avs fans, disregarding how good Detroit is!
-What a crappy call! Ok, so Homer gets hit FROM BEHIND in front of Theodore and on his way down he catches his stick in an Avs skates and he gets called for tripping? Dude, ref, seriously?
-Avs score. 1-1. Damn. A PP goal that should have never been. What a horrible call...
